Suzie Butler attended high school in the Atlanta area and college at the University of Georgia majoring in Child and Family Development. She later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be with her widowed mother. It was there she met the love of her life, John. In 2011, they celebrate their 30 year wedding anniversary. In the earlier part of her career, Suzie worked at a Fortune 500 company in several positions requiring utmost attention to detail and client relations. During this time, Suzie attended Tulsa Junior College where she earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Suzie later worked with an attorney in research. She also spent a great deal of time volunteering, serving on numerous committees, teaching adult and women’s studies in her church, home schooling, and eventually being the primary caregiver for her mother. Suzie experienced what it is like to utilize in-home care and to have the peace that comes from knowing your loved one is being cared for well. She was so impressed with her in-home care experience that she joined Family Private Care in November 2006. Her prior experience and attention to detail are perfect complements to bring to her role as Office Manager. Mitzi Nelson: God has allowed me the privilege to be a Senior Care Manager because it gives me the opportunity to give back to Seniors the Love, Honor and respect they so rightly deserve. When I started in the Senior Industry several years ago it started as a career but now it is my passion and a part of who I am. The journey of life takes us through many changes, some being too difficult to handle on our own. Being a Senior Care Manager allows me to step in and help families get the help they need and offer many resources during a difficult time. While working with families I treat them how I would want someone to treat my parents whom I consider my “precious cargo”. I have had extensive training in multiple levels of care in the senior industry but my personal experience has allowed me to see and relate to families on both sides of the spectrum. I am also a life long resident of Jefferson County. |
