The origin of Private Family Care
Family Private Care has a long and successful history, evident by the more than 15,000 families who have placed their trust in our services since our company’s inception in 1997. Family Private Care’s origins began in Florida, a popular destination for active retirees for decades. As these retirees aged into senior citizens, their adult children were faced with the challenge of caring for their aging parents, often on a long-distance basis. The founders of Family Private Care, realizing the increasing need for private home care services, created a referral-based business model that would provide highly-qualified and diligently-screened caregivers to seniors needing an array of private care services.
Expanding our boundaries
In 2003 families in the Atlanta area who had heard of our reputation of excellent service urged us to bring our expertise to their Georgia. We have now been serving families in 35 counties in north Georgia for 7 years, and expanded our services into Alabama in 2009. Now into our third year of serving the Birmingham area and surrounding counties our referral-based, caregiver model has been eagerly received, and plans are underway for our network to expand into areas of need throughout both states.
